The Parochial Church Council (PCC) is deeply committed to ensuring the safety and well being of everyone who participates in the numerous activities organised by members of the church in Nunthorpe. In recognition of the great responsibility and trust that is placed upon them the PCC have developed a Safeguarding Policy based on the Diocese of York Model Safeguarding Policy.

Under this policy volunteers in the relevant positions are assessed for their suitability and Enhanced Disclosure checks are carried out with the Disclosure and Barring Service, via the offices of the Archbishop of York.

Under this policy any allegations of inappropriate behaviour will be taken very seriously and appropriate investigations by relevant authorities initiated.
