Remembrance Sunday Service

The Remembrance Sunday Service starts at 10.50am, with an Act of Remembrance at the War Memorial in Stokesley Road, where the fallen of the Great War are remembered with the laying of wreaths, and the placement of a cross for each of those listed on the memorial.

We then process to the Lychgate, which is the memorial for those who gave their lives for their country during the Second World War, again with the laying of wreathes, and a cross for each of those remembered.

The remainder of the service takes place in the church, at about 11.15am.

The Church will be open from 10.30am for prayer and reflection, and for those members of the congregation who are unable to make it to the War Memorial.

In recent years there has been a display of knitted poppies at the War Memorial.

The congregation assembled at the Lychgate, the memorial to those who fell in the Second World War.
